I heard about this guy a while ago as he lived pretty close to San Juan Capistrano where I used to live near San Clemente. Surfboard shaper that turned his efforts on a 2002 (and now looks like a coupe is in the works). Very talented/passionate guy.

Petrolicious to me, lost their way a while back but seems to have some back with a new owner (I think), and is putting out some good driving videos again. That video was all filmed where we used to do many drives with vintage BMW's.

I've previously read about Paul and his vehicles. The amalgamation of surfboard shaping techniques, glassing & vehicle light-weighting is very cool.

This made me wonder if I could ever make fiberglass reproductions of the E3 body panels, hood and trunk on my own vehicle.

Here are some related materials I found awhile back:

Wasn't there some kind of scandal associated with the founder of Petrolicious? Politics? Money? Anger issues? Harassment? All of the above.

Looks pretty good now. But favors Porsche and Jaguar. Saw only one BMW, a 5 series.

Yeah I think something like that but I don't like to spread rumors of stuff I don't know first hand. I seem to recall at least a couple of those issues. What I do know first hand is I was a member, paid member, then something happened, I honestly can't recall but I think the site went down and had an issue with no refund or something? Man, getting older is not fun all the time but all I know is it wasn't a good experience but I guess I wasn't the only one. Moved on and forgot about it until I started receiving these videos again.

Didn’t I see that he has a e9 carbon body?

SOC sells carbon fiber parts for the 2002. And I am just in the early stages of building an S14 powered 72 2002.

The body is overall in a good condition, but the trunk lid has some bad rust spots, and I would also like to eliminate the sunroof.

As I was doing "What if scenarios"; the CF Hood/trunk lid/roof came to mind, but that will cost $8K!!! :(
