Porsche help requested

A proper forum?

I think it is going to be really tough to get anywhere close to the group on this forum but since I now have a daily driver Porsche, I find myself in need of technical assistance and hope someone here can point me toward a decent bunch of folks involved with Porsches. Maybe some people who won't look down on me for looking for the ignition on the right side of the column.

TIA-

My Porsche friend is on Rennlist which has solved all of his year/model specific issues

Got it!

Yes, performed a search and there it was! Ignition switch failure, 35.00 part from VW. Superior, now all I have to do is change it out without frying everything :)

Thanks!!

after posting, i went on renntech looking for the link to the porsche site with the parts PDF or the link to sunset imports for porsche parts at a decent price ... both links are gone. i have the 997 and 987 c1 and c2 pdfs ... but nothing on the 996. but i found it on porsche's website. Peter, i just emailed it to you.

for anybody interested ... follow this link and find your car model
http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/classic/originalpartscatalogue/

edit - Peter, if you don't get the email, follow the line as the pdf is 14mb.
