I'm talking to a seller in Grand Prarie Texas about a 74 CS. Described as sound with little rust. I don't have close pics but sounds like worth getting an inspection.
Any suggestions for rust savy Forum member or area shop to check out?
Thanks! Paul

I am surprised it has not sold yet. Maybe someone noticed so major issues with the car.

I thought I'd mention that seller of Dallas car and i had agreed I world purchase the car at his asking price contingent on a PPI - and i provided a good shop recommended from E28 forum. I offered a deposit but that seemed not needed. The seller now tells me he is selling to a California party. Won't surprise the old hands, but this stuff can be tricky!

Twistinglane may have gotten the better part of the deal. Out of it. Big bumpers, tired interior, bad wood, "desirable" speaker grille delete, tools? no money shots, suspicious shock towers, and the list goes on.

IMHO, not a good deal for over 10K. The grill is broken, the interior reminds me of the repairs I made on my 72 Pinto wagon, the trunk rubber is half on the body half on the lid, the paint looks like it's concealing lots of body work. If it panned out that there was no significant rust (IF), then the car would still have to be taken down to bare metal before putting any money into it. And- how can someone say that car has less than 40K on the clock. Like they say- don't walk away from this one- run!

When first at $8k on CL, I thought possibly a diamond -with big bumpers- in the rough. If $30k I'm thinking that anyone who would buy it probably deserves it...
