Hello,

I'd like to collect every upcoming interest for that special part in this thread.

So far I got 2 more orders, than I was able to serve (see thread in parts section: http://www.e9coupe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16297)

and in addition a few more request via PM and eMail, so that I decided to do a second set of at least 5 pieces. If this number doesn't increase to minimum 10 (price will remain at 100,- $$ then), the price would slightly increase to 110,- $$, which is related most likely to the price for the galavinasation. If this would be unacceptable, please let me know.

Everybody else, who might like to have one, please let me know (PM or eMail: [email protected]) or do a post inside this thread.

I'll set the dead line for the last chance to join this list to the end of week 19, so that it'll be a reasonable time frame for the actual interested people to get their parts. It'll be the estimasted date, when I'll ship the prepared parts to the galvanisation. This company only needed 2 weeks for the first set of badges, but I cannot promise, that it'll be again that fast.
If there'll be obviously no more interest, I might close it earlier to speed up the process for the already ordered badges.

Estimated time of shipping to you, is actually around week 23.

These will be definetly the last pieces, coming out of my "production".

Btw: If the number of seriously interested people will decrease lower than that minimum 5, I would need to apologize, that I have to deny the second set of badges

So, it looks like, that beside the deadline, I also have to set a certain limit for the max. numbers in the second set, because my capacities are limited.

This will be at 15 pieces. All further requests have to be considered for a 3rd set (which I really don't plan actually).

This is because all the others would have to wait much longer, and I don't like to modify my estimations for the delivery date.

Does the badge have the slight curve that matched the curvature of the trunk lid?

Yes, of course it has that curve. It just don't has the pins.
See the attached pictures from my first plastic modell, which was done in a 3D printer. This was used to make the mold.

With the two badges, I alreay mounted to the trunk lid, I had to grind the backside just a bit with a stationary grinder. A matter of 2 minutes. Next badges normally won't require that (except if you have used a lot of bondo, that your lid has a different curvature). But even if so, there's enough material, to make it perfect fit to such a "worst case".

Is it still possible to get in on this? If so then I'll have one please but allow for shipping to Australia. ( BTW that doesn't mean that it should be made upside down. )
 
Sry, I missed the last requests since the thread went down a bit.

Making of the badges is running quite good so far. Some are already prepared for galvanisation, some others are rather close to that.
So, actually I'd say, dispite I didn't want to do more than 15, it's still possible to get one of these badges if there's more interest.
It's already also for sure, that I didn't need to increase the price. It remains at 100 US $$ plus 20 US $$ for shipping to the States.
I'll check the rate for shipping to Australia.

short update:

Although there's actually no more interest, I prepared 25 for the galvanisation. That allows me to send them out a bit earlier than expected.

So there are still bagdes available, that are not pre ordered yet.

Next updates to come, latest when I have them back.
