Propane conversion wrecker

My recommendation is that you only drive it when it rains in San Diego.

Then again, maybe Malc could do something with it!

Looks to me like a deal for someone in new york
Good Glass
D-Jet log
4 wheels
Tool box
plus the propane option if gas goes to the $5 mark.
I used to run a chevy pickup on propane , very clean burning and plenty of power,
and who knows what else lays beneath shame it wasnt in Cal

The propane beerkeg option is starting to look like a sensible solution to gas at $4 a gallon locally, but this is an old conversion by the looks of it... makes you wonder. Science project?

So true on the parts PJ. Look like good bumpers too.

Ooooh Spares
Unfortunately the Mrs Malc scrap limitation treaty quota is currently filled.
If I lived nearby I would take the whole thing as it is probably a treasure trove of obscure parts that nobody has anymore.
Somebody should "rescue" it

As to LPG conversions they are very popular in Europe and the UK now as LPG is 60% cheaper per litre than petrol. Modern LPG systems even have sequential injection which work very well, but are expensive to install (£2000 and up).
Unconfirmed reports say that HP drops a little and actual equivalent mpg is lower, but because of the cost of LPG you are "doubling" you mpg from a price per litre point of view.
Malc

Stan,

You buy it, give me the 4 wheels shown and the not to be seen steering wheel, and I'll go and retreive it . . you can have the rest :P

Malc -- do you think you might be able to convert the propane tank into Oxygen / Acetylene system and create a coupe that could repair it's own rust?
