Here is my Q&A with the maker of these, I remembered I tried to bypass the little Becker amp box in a less glamorous way than this setup, make sure your amp is as he states otherwise you won't hear a thing, I ended up going from the amp box to the separate power amp:
Hello, has this been tested with an amplifier straight from the head unit? I remember trying to connect an amp directly from the head unit before (bypassing the separate Becker amp box) and there wasn't enough signal for the amp to pick up. Looks like a great product. Thanks, Steve

You are correct. The signal from the head unit is very low something like 200 to 300 milliamps. The secret is you must have a correct amplifier with an adjustable gain or sensitivity control that goes around the correct milliamps. The problem is some amplifiers don't even have a sensitivity or gain control. most likely in your case. I have sold several of these adapter systems with excellent results and great feedback.
