BMW Dixi DA1 and BMW Wartburg DA3, built 1930-1932 after BMW took over the manufacturer Dixi in Eisenach. The Dixi is a Dixi construction, alright. The Wartburg was a development by BMW. Not to be confused with the East German Wartburg cars or the castle on the Wartberg near Eisenach.
 
A friend of mine bought a 1973 Bavaria in Canada with no power steering. It was an easy retrofit to swap power steering in from a donor car. I wouldn't try it without a donor car. Too many parts to source. Although with 1973 at least it uses the same crank pulley as the water pump and alternator. The advantage of the donor car is you can see where everything goes. If you are going to do this look into the crank pulley setup that has 3 pulleys. The power steering is the center pulley and the outside pulley is for AC. You will be glad to have the power steering on it's own belt. The single belt system tends to squeal when steering in situaltions where the car is barely moving. If you tighten up the belt to stop it, you risk early waterpump failure.

As for the name debate:
It can be argued that the Bavaria is the on;ly production car designed by BMW to have a name.

Dixi was an Austin 7 under license.
The Isetta was designed by Iso. (Unlike the 600 which was reimagined by BMW.)
The Wartburg name came from the car body design belonging to Wartburg.
Glas & Goggomobile were.... well not all BMW.
The Turbo, Gina and other named prototypes never went into production.
