Good morning folks,

My car is a '72 CS.

When I got my car back from some recent work, the dimmer switch stalk was "sagging" and the headlights wouldn't work :-(

It turns out the dimmer switch fell apart/uncrimped somehow. Needless to say I am not happy.

Here is a photo of all of the parts I can find. I can see that I am missing a little hinge-pin that the stalk pivots on. I can make one of those. But it also looks like I'm missing another electrical contact piece. Can anyone confirm?

This is a really hard to find part and I'd like to be able to fix mine. Any and all help appreciated.

Cheers

Yes, I'm almost certain that there should be another copper piece in the white plastic, it makes the contact across the copper piece in the black piece.

You could probably make it out of some copper plate. I think that's available from most hobby stores

Dip Switch

If you aren't able to find the remaining parts let know I likely have a spare switch.

James - There is a 'T' shaped copper piece and a small spring that goes with it. Perhaps those are still in the car somewhere?

Thanks - this is very helpful. I will look around in the car now that I know what I'm looking for.

Doug: you have a PM.

Cheers
