Rear caliper bolts

Todd Howerton, owner of a company called Outlaw Disc Brakes, who is well known in E24 circles, and Alpina circles as well, is well versed in rebuilding these guys. I just texted him about these bolts as he usually has good suppliers for hard to find parts. His answer to me is they are near impossible to find and he has redrilled and tapped the calipers to the next size up in the past with great success and at that point could use readily available fasteners. Todd is pretty anal about both his work and his cars and I would take what he says as something to give some thought to. You might also check his website as he manufactures some very nice products

Am I missing something or are these not available from W&N? I thought that mark’s only concern was another shipment from them and timing.

Hi Mark, those are for the front, I have those, bought them from them quite a while ago, what I was looking for was the ones for the rear
I think I am going with the 1/4 inch SAE bolts, they are a tiny bit loose, my plan is to snug up 2 7mm, then tighten the 1/4, pullout the long 7mm and put in the next 1/4s

What is it about the tears that are different? I didn’t catch that (other than length?)

How about these? “You need 8 for 1 car”

I’m planning on using calipers from an early euro 635 CSI. To the untrained eye they look identical to CS calipers.

I posted this to the wrong thread - sorry for the redundancy. And I now see that @Markos already posted the info I was adding in the correct thread.
