Rear final drive (differential) oil

What’s the common preference on the oil weight. And to either go fully synthetic or good old fashioned for the final drive?

Does a basic 80w-90 do the trick?
Thoughts?

I'm a fan of Redline products and use their 75w-90 in my dif.

I use the Carl Nelson special: 50/50 Brad Penn 90w gear oil/Redline MTL. Both ok for bronze synchros (GL4).

I would use Redline in FL

Redline 75-90 here. I did get a little leak from switching to synthetic but it just told me I needed to swap out the seals.
