BMW E3 2800 CS 69-72 Rear Drilled & Slotted RDA Disc Brake Rotors
ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET DRILLED AND SLOTED REAR ROTORS FOR THE 74CS --WILL THESE WORK

Not sure about that description... e3 is a non-vented rotor, and 2800cs is a drum brake. Neither fits the 3.0cs unless it's been changed to E3 calipers.

As of right now I'd take any vented rear rotor you can get your hands on, as they are not plentiful. You could always have them drilled and slotted after the fact if you feel the need.

Appears to be the same part (also listed for euro E3's). But when I checked a couple months ago, BMW had none in the US or Germany. Most of the parts websites like Pelican or ECS etc just order from BMW when you order. They don't know yet that there aren't any. The exception seems to be FCPeuro.com, they'll show "backordered no ETA" on the part when BMW doesn't have it, as they do now for the rotors.

After being quoted $1200 the pair for rear discs for my 1971 CSI my local brake shop got me some generic discs for just over 1/10 the price, check with yours you may be surprised what's out there that will fit.

The factory price is under $150/ea when they have them, so I dunno where $1200 would ever come from. The only non-factory brand I could find any mention of was Centric (the worst brand there is, IMO) and I couldn't find them from any reputable sellers. Didn't want to order and most likely get non-vented rotors and have a headache returning them. I found some from Mesa Performance, but I believe he said it was the only set they had.

Sorry for multiple post, site seems to be slow so I was not sure if it was uploading

Cheers. John

That's the beauty of life down under, pay through the nose for everything, I could give you multiple examples of this but needless to say my local Bm dealer has not made much money off me, however DHL must be miffed.
