There is a metal sleeve that inserts into the upper rubber mount. The upper threaded part of the shock absorber fits thru this metal sleeve.

It is # 10 on the Penske parts page (Rear suspension)

Does anyone know the dimensions of this metal sleeve? (O.D. and length) The PO (seriously...) did not even use the rubber grommet insert much less the metal sleeve! I won't mention how the PO secured this part of the shock... another story!

Please advise... and thanks! DCG

I made up a set myself a couple of months ago instead of ordering new ones (because I was in a hurry). They are a hair over 1-1/16" long. The diameter dimensions I don't remember, but I can measure them Monday evening. It turns out that the m30 head rocker shafts are the perfect size. I just cut a couple of sections out of an old shaft to the correct length.

This should help...
