Noticed rattle then clatter over bumps at low speed. Maybe 750 miles after resto. Coming from left rear seat area. Finally located by removing seat and sitting in back while being driven. Loud clatter from top of shock tower. When unweighted, top of spring had some movement.
Removed strut, disassembled.
Clear the rubber bushing has failed, but otherwise everything was tight. I thought I had this assembled correctly based on the threads contained in this forum. Now I can’t really find anything directly using all these parts or why it would’ve failed. Even the AI was not helpful and she’s been flawless.
Pretty sure the parts came with the bilsteins(which are the B8s)but don’t really remember where I got the washer with the split spacers. The lower half of the facer is welded to the washer and I don’t weld.
(it was a big project.)

The first photo is a picture of all the parts in order when assembled. Photo 2 shows tear in the bushing and the third numbers on the bushing.
