Hallo.
Baught new Bilsteins B46 rear for my E9.
But. They are so looong and the lower bolt
has such a dull angle (downwards).
Where to start?
Upper or lower mounting?

Pehr

Start at top mounting
Go grab a big mallet
Finish up lower mounting

I compressed the shock (I used that roll of metal with holes in it that plumbers use in order to keep it in place), fit the lower end on (may need to tap with a mallet), then aim the shock up towards the tower, release the shock and as it expands guide it through the tower hole.

I couldn't get the bottom to fit on without brutal force so I did the opposite using a compressed shock, this eliminates the awkward angle at the lower mounting
