Hi all,

Could someone let me know if poly bushes are available for the large rear subframe mounts? I can only seem to find the Ireland inserts for the stock ones. Do the bushes happen to interchange with those from a more common model for example?
Many thanks

Piers

I havent seen them for sale personally, although i imagine those for an e12 might well fit.

I'd caution against using poly on these and other bushes - the cs body is not strong and it isnt the worst this to have a bit of give in these bushes but thats just my opinion!

Regards,

Rohan

Thanks Rohan.
I do agree on the bushes, some of the powerflex ones I have tested in the past were a bit crashy on my e28. I have however tested the superflex ones on my csl and they seem very good. No noticeable increasing noise or harshness but considerably easier to fit than oem ones! The car doesn't seem to lean on the bushes as much when cornering either.
I think I will leave the beam bushes standard though - just checking what others are doing.

Cheers

i have a set of rear solid bushes for the rear swing arms that i got from Mario. they are also adjustable.

If you are referring to part number 33311108755 and 756, they are available from BMW. I bought the pair six months ago from getBMWparts.com. These are the parts that attach the rear subframe to the body.

Yes it is thanks - I know I can get the standard ones from BMW which I will most likely do - the part number you quote is different though - realoem quotes the part as 33333728100 which also corresponds to getbmwparts website. Is there a difference?!

Piers,

I see that, now that you point it out. I have found that whenever one of the online sites shows different part numbers for the same item number in the picture (item 10 in this case), if I go back to my trusty orange parts books, I find the answer. In this case, the parts ending in 100 are for coupes up to model year 1973 and the left and right parts ending in 755 and 756 are for '73 and beyond.
