Rear tail lights cleaning

I was replacing a rear stop light bulb when I looked inside the lens area and noticed dirt on the inside of the lens. So I removed the lens housings and using a rag and screw driver and soap and water I cleaned the inside of both rear light housings. My lights are now much brighter. I cleaned the outside with Rainx X-treme Clean which renews plastic and glass. It made the red deeper.
