Cleaning and disassembling the chrome rear bumper from the 72 parts car, and what fun...
Q1: How did the under-riders (they're missing) attach to the bumper itself...there are rusty globs at each attachment point that appear to terminate under the attachment bracket on the inside..pretending there was no rust to battle, how would one tighten/loosen the under-rider to the bumper?...access the bolt/stud/whatever? (maybe I'm learning why many e9's skip them...)
Q2: There is a tiny, U-shaped black vinyl/plastic piece that runs the whole length of the top edge of the bumper that butts into the black viny/plastic boomarang-shaped end pieces...never seen one and don't see it on realoem, but looks "factory"/logical...Appears to press-fit on, and maybe most were lost at the car wash; or is it someone's addition?

There is no U Channel rubber across length of bumper, only on under riders for pre-73 where it touches body. Under riders are installed on bumper before bumper is attached to body, there is a speed but/clip as I recall on bumper. There is also a long bolt that must be inserted from the body first and then into the under rider, these rust sold and are impossible to remove.
