I got one and I broke one when I try to put that back in I push as hardest I could, do you know the easy way to install this mirror

I believe that the spring mechanism needs to be lubricated in order to work correctly. A teflon or silicone spray should be worked into the spring so that it flexes properly.
 

Removing inside rear view mirror

I need to replace the headliner in my Bavaria. The rear view mirror needs to be removed in order to do this. How is it done? (maybe the same for an E9?)

I just received the mirror from Ed (thanks!) and will be using the attached thread to hopefully remove mine and install the new one.
