Rear window motor upgrade too?

Kevin - this is a very common modification.

That said, before you do this, consider cleaning the mechanisms. Often, old hardened grease is what causes the motors to run slowly, and when this is the case, a disassembly and cleaning can fix things.

If you get in there, either to clean up the mechanisms or to change the motors, consider replacing the stops that limit the travel of the window. Over time they decay and collapse, allowing the window to travel too far. This makes it difficult for the motors to move them. I purchased new stops from Walloch and Ness.

If you decide to change, there are lots of people on the forum who have done this. My windows are pretty fast, which is why I haven't gone this route, but what are you concerned about specifically?
