Rear window removal when the window is seized?

Hi all, I'm removing the two rear window assemblies. I've removed one side, siring which the window was down a fair way to aid removal once unbolted. However the other side window is seized and I just can't manually rotate the motor to lower the window. Am I correct in thinking the window needs to be down, if so any thoughts?? Thanks

Yes, the higher up the window, the more miserable and dangerous is the removal process.

I will take a look at my pics from when I disassembled mine. No idea yet , I am sorry.

Worst case, a new old window, even with original markings, isn't too expensive...

Thanks guys! Managed to free up the mechanism with a pair of pliers on the spindle.

When the best option is breaking the glass, all of a sudden pliers in creative locations become possible. Nice save.

Haha, the thought of breaking what looks to be the original glass with BMW marking was something I was struggling to even think about lol
