I would be most thankful, if some dear member would post photos, etc. of the welding / installation of the aforementioned items,
without setting the car on fire :)

Here are 2 other options:
I added a 1,5 mm plate to increase the stiffness from left to right.
As the diff mainly handles torsion forces, and because my car isn't tracked nor having 300Hp, I thought (hoped) this is enough.

secondly, I recently read (here on the forum, but can't remember who) that someone added a tube in the same location. Even sturdier, and still quite stealthy as he choose a tube of approx same height and ~15 mm thickness. It then just 'hides' itself from looking like a structural "after thought"
