Reinforcing plates for differentials

Here are 2 other options:
I added a 1,5 mm plate to increase the stiffness from left to right.
As the diff mainly handles torsion forces, and because my car isn't tracked nor having 300Hp, I thought (hoped) this is enough.

secondly, I recently read (here on the forum, but can't remember who) that someone added a tube in the same location. Even sturdier, and still quite stealthy as he choose a tube of approx same height and ~15 mm thickness. It then just 'hides' itself from looking like a structural "after thought"

Needed to fix a lot of corners of the spare tire wheel well before I could get it zinc coated and being able to weld it back in:

some patches to be made

new edge:

new corner:

and 2 bits on the wheel well also:

After fixing the steel part, it was time to install the fresh parts.
New brackets mounted on the underside of the spare tire panel for the NOS muffler that I found...
