Remanufactured parts - Wish list

Good question. I dont know. I do know that somebody had these recreated in metal and was selling them on eBay. Seems like someone on this board must have either made the original or bought a set.

Yeah, I should of bought a pair of these SS trim pieces, but I waited too long. Believe he just made a few sets (3 or 4 maybe).

Stan - I have never seen this piece in an e9. Where does it go? Are you sure it does not belong to another car? The pieces I have seen are straight.

They connect to the bottom of the seat itself on the right and left side. If you look at Real OEM you can see them on the seat at the very bottom but they do not have a part number associated with them.

I removed them from the 2800CS parts car and have seen them on 3.0 CS cars.
I do not have them on my car but they may have broken off during reupholstering.

seat rail covers

I have those plastic pieces that Sven showed installed on my '74 3.0 csi. They actually screw through the carpet next to the outer seat rail. I'll try to take a picture of them and post it here tonight. Thanks,
John

A few years back I made a replacement for one of the seat rail covers using a thin sheet of of aluminium, a home made bending brake, a dremel tool and a buffing wheel. I wasn't able to reproduce the rounded corners but I think it turned out quite nice.

Yep. Im told they dont hold up. That's what made those SS pieces on eBay so cool.

Yes, to be clear, Stan is talking about a different piece than the rail covers. The piece that Stan is talking about looks like it would be much more complicated to recreate. I'd be interested in the rail covers if those could be reproduced in stainless steel or aluminum.

My nephew was telling me these parts will be pretty pricey.
I will try to get a better target price to learn if there is any interest
Also, found a guy who can rechrome!

Here is the part I was referring too:

I believe that the person that was making and selling these pieces is "RIMSPOKE" member of the 2002 board. You can find him through Ebay.
