Good question. I dont know. I do know that somebody had these recreated in metal and was selling them on eBay. Seems like someone on this board must have either made the original or bought a set.
Yeah, I should of bought a pair of these SS trim pieces, but I waited too long. Believe he just made a few sets (3 or 4 maybe).
Stan - I have never seen this piece in an e9. Where does it go? Are you sure it does not belong to another car? The pieces I have seen are straight.
I found a set of the seat trim seen in the photos below and will look into reproducing them.

Yes, to be clear, Stan is talking about a different piece than the rail covers. The piece that Stan is talking about looks like it would be much more complicated to recreate. I'd be interested in the rail covers if those could be reproduced in stainless steel or aluminum.
