Now that the windshield is out of my Coupe for painting, I would like to remove the seat belt sign. A screw on the side lets you get it loose. Has anyone found plugs to use to cover the holes?

I removed mine, and thought the holes, or home made covers, would be disturbing, so I turned it around. From the cabin it no longer disturbs, and from the outside it could look like a radar detector

That really would be a cool place to mount a remote radar detector antenna and hide the base elsewhere. I'm in the middle of putting an AFR gauge in there otherwise I'd do it.

I actually have been trying to get mine to work! It was disconnected at several locations, most notable is at the bottom of the B pillar.

Best way is to remove the dash & send it to Just Dashes, have them fill it and restore it. Seems anything short of that would be a disappointment, except putting a hat over it. (joking about the hat)

My solution was a vinyl-covered blank piece of aluminum glued over the opening.

A cheap option is to fill with black silicone. Once it sets, take a toothbrush or another piece of vinyl to press some grain into it.
A coat of oil prevents it from sticking.

If you try it a few times outside of the car first, you can improve your technique. It comes really close, close enough so that only you will know and a passer-by will not see it.
