Hi all,
At what point do you replace your fuel line? I'm talking the main tank to front firewall line on a carbureted CS. In grinding out my drivers side front pan (peeling out? hammered out? accidentally sneezed out?), I got a good look at the line, and it looks, well, funky. But it seems to be mostly road grime and perhaps undercoating. The car runs fine, as is. What does a good, or at least acceptable line look like? Anyone replace this with regular rubber fuel line as opposed to the bent, fitted line? I'm concerned with function and safety, not Concours originality. If someone wants to crawl under the car and inform me that my fuel line is not period correct and OEM, I'll be happy to roll the car back a foot or two. Not that there is anything wrong with keeping a car as "correct" as possible...
