Right part for latch buffer

Got part 51211809735 from Pelican.
This is the white plastic buffer for E9 and E24 latches, the part I received is black and I cannot quite fit it as the opening seems small.
Did I get the wrong part? Can it be black?

I have not seen black ones.

Use a drill bit to clean out the extra plastic. Dremel sets come with a bit.
