I'm well on my way into Rob's book and I have to mention that so far it is truly a treasure! I had no idea how ill-informed I actually was regarding the simplest electrical systems and our Hack Mechanic has done a wonderful job of explaining how, what, where and even why we need all these wires, resistors, etc.

When I initially asked Rob if his book was for the novice (or worse in my case) he said that I was the exact target audience. I wondered how many books he would sell if I were his target audience since there are very few people who are fairly good at changing a tire but given a set of jumper cables would likely create a mess akin to the Hindenburg Disaster. Be that as it may, I am looking forward to the next chapter and then finding a home for it in a suitable spot in the library.

Thanks Rob!!

Got it, too, and have found it very informative. My current problem is figuring out why the the driver side rear window won't go down. Rob, any chance you could provide brief guidance on the steps to determine whether it's one (or both) of the window switches or wiring? Thanks much. Bill
