Now I am happy I did not replace my originals. I spent the time straightening them out, sanded then 2k satin black, then chipguard then another coat of 2k satin black.
I thought they were originally held by screws and not rivets? Mine had rivets which just didn't seem right.

Mine held on with small Phillips head screws as well. This could be an item that will get patched if corrosion exists, rather than import something that may not fit well. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Chris.

I have a feeling, your friend never worked on an E9. This, in my opinion, is why we are at Bourbon and Scotch levels of recourse.

No, he worked on Citroens. If they won't drive you to drink I don't know what will. And he was strictly a beer man.
