im i missing something?
i went to install the grab bars and it seems there needs to be a block behind them.
the front portion of the bar has the anchor holes 1" behind the raised bracket for the upper
seat belt bolt.
If you screw it down the headliner is stretched to almost a cut.
So i had to make two wood blocks to level the bar plate face even with the seat belt projection
anyone know whats going on there?

Did you have a new headliner installed? Are you using the correct holes? Sometimes it isn't easy to find the correct holes to line up with the flexible grab handle which I think you mean by grab bar?...

yea i put in new see my post in RESTORATION
i figured it out had to definately add a small block of wood to bring out the mounting surface
if you read i have the zipper o i could reach in and find them exactly and line everything up
