Thanks for asking, the problem was dirty carbs, so I cleaned them both out took the tops off and cleaned all the jets and cleaned the inlet filters. I may have done this 7 years ago when I purchased the car. I also took the opportunity to replace the plugs and make sure they are gapped right, The car runs better than ever needing very little peddle to get it moving. Two weeks ago I did something I had never done while owning this car I drove it 5 days in a row. It was really fun.. I also adjusted the timing using a vacuum gauge made for doing timing.. some pics from 2018 and last one is 2025.. Next is finding the awful rattle in the left front suspension or maybe fix the turn signals@chope97 - how you getting on with your rough idle? You get to the bottom of it yet?
Hell yeah! Many steps in the right direction. it is a great 20 footer, it is lowered, Someone in Cali painted it a non stock blue color before it came to the east coast and I purchased it 8 years ago. I don' have a garage so I can only work on it on nice days and I have a 71 5 speed also that needs my attention. It was totaled in 2004 by previous owner I got it and it sat in my yard for 10 years before I got it back on the road, still needs some rust work and paint but it is a great driverHell yeah! When I first purchased the car it had stock e3 rims 14. I liked the Borbets but one of my sons encouraged me to upgraded to something classier so now I have style 5 on both cars. I have some 16 850 wheels I might put on in the springLooks like your Series II (C-pillar) car had Mille Miglia or Racing Dynamics rims when you first acquired it. Nice paint and trap mirrors !
