Rough price for a rough coupe?

Can any one give an idea of what they think this car might be worth? The one good thing I think is there doesn't seem to be rust other than some small areas by the radiator. Also it runs, but is on a non-op and has been for several years.
seats were redone, but probably not very well. I'm looking to build a coupe up to what I like/ color, wheels, suspension etc, originality is not that important to me, but I question if I should start with a much nicer one.
I'm trying to get more picks of the underneath of the car. It's a long drive from me so I'm trying to decide if its worth making a day trip to check it out.

Please let me know what you guys think this is worth.

With more photos the experts here could give you an expert opinion. I don't think your front seats are original. No holes for the head rests. How much will it cost you? Shipping involved? etc. etc

Cost to pick it up isn't much, tank of gas and a trailer from Uhaul for $150.
 
Try upoading larger pictures

for better detail.

From what you've shown, there's no daylight showing through those areas. That's good.

The dented front fender behind the wheel- could have been caused by the jack point giving way. So check that area, floor area, inner sill, etc.

On the plus side, it looks complete, sans headrests. Easy fix. Looks like 16" Aplinas- that's good.

Painting the headlight griles white- that's special. Brake fluid strips plastic parts with patience.

If you're close enough to drive then it's good enough for a road trip.
 
If you want to part those Alpinas and they are real, put me down as a buyer. If you cannot make a hole with a hammer anywhere, the car is worth potentially 75 K. Just kidding. Maybe not.
 
As others have written, without better photos we really can't assess the extent of rust. And for a car at this level, rust is 90% of what matters (completeness being the other 10%, and this car seems to score pretty well there).

With respect to the "right" selling price: For cars like this, the price you can get it for really depends on how realistic the seller is, and how motivated the other buyers are (look up "red mist"). If this car has significant rust, it's value might be negative - that is, it will take more money to bring it to the level you want than just buying your dream car as-is.

Interesting. Are those 16" Alpinas ? Also looks like the rear bumper underriders are still there too. Somebody loved this car at one point.
 
I'm surprised no one caught this, it appears the oil fill is to the firewall side of the engine indicating an engine swap with later model engine or head

Sorry if it was an obscure reference. It's a term that the magazine "Sports Car Market" uses with some regularity. Refers to someone at an auction who just has to have a car - regardless of how high the bidding goes. I guess getting blinded by the "red mist", is seeing yourself in some flashy car while ignoring the financial implications.

Not that I'd ever do this myself, you understand.
