s38 intake funnel long shot

I have my engine together and am wanting to change 2 intake funnels for the kind without the extra linkage studs. Anybody know where to start other than the dealer @150 ea? I can cut them off and make them look decent, but would rather trade or buy used.

There is a guy on the e9 facebook page selling them. I’m not sure if he wants to split up parts but it reads that way. Scroll a bit, not that long ago.

Not sure they are the same for the later E34 S38 engine. Aluminum and different part no.

Gary, send a PM to M5bb (also named Gary) ... he has an e28 m5 and 1. has a spare engine, 2. knows a lot of people with s38 engines around the country
