Looks like a very nice car, including a very tidy engine swap. But with the market down, what are the chances this meets, let alone exceeds, the 75k high bid from a year ago?

isn't it uncommon to run it without an Anti rebound bar up front?

100 miles driven since engine replacement; meaning that issues may still pop up? ( I've never build and/or ran one in)

Good point on the new build, and good spot with the ARB.

I’ve heard of racers disconnecting or removing anti-roll bars. If you don’t mind the extra body roll, it theoretically would give more front grip relative to the rear, making the car rotate (oversteer?) easier.

Now I don’t know if that is the reasoning here, or if the original bar interfered with the new engine and they didn’t bother to make a new one…

I bet this is the reason here - I do not see a reason to remove the front anti-roll bar for racing unless you are drifting...
That is quite contrary to my experience with stiffer / adjustable anti-roll bars on my cars.

I don't believe those are Weds wheels but they still look great! I'm not a fan of owning black cars but damn does it look sweet.

Yeah when I say racers I have mostly heard it in autocross, especially FWD cars. Also the “boy racer” types who think they are racers, and occasionally the Lemons racers who I hang out with. It’s definitely a low-budget hack, or maybe makes sense if you’re in a stock class where you can’t add a different bar or change your spring rates.

In order to keep the car balanced you would need to take off the rear bar too. With no sway bars you would likely have a lot more body roll, unless you increased the spring rates and that would result in a harsher ride. To put on a front bar they would have obviously had to have a new bar made and some different brackets to get it out ahead of the sump. It's not a huge deal, but if you're going to go out and pay all the money to do the rest of the car and have it (as it appears) to be professionally done, not making a new bar and brackets is an indication of cost cutting. In the end not a big deal, probably a $1k to fix it and in the grand scheme of things just something that should have been done properly.

While hard to be sure of rust remediation, seems likely that it would have been done pretty well on a build like this. This seemed like a very well executed and attractive package for this money. This is probably one of the nicer black coupes around, but even the close ups of the body make it obvious that keeping a car this color looking sharp is not an easy thing.

I agree with both. Very nice coupe inside and out - attractive wheels and interior. Assuming no serious oxidation sins then very well bought. I might even forgive moving away from fjord ; ).

Before the softening of the market, a buddy bought a coupe with the B35 motor and automatic transmission. It spent months in the shop fixing body and other problems, along with thousands of dollars. Purchase price? $75,000. Some one got a much better car with little to do for $5,000 more. No redone interior or custom exhaust.
