S54-Powered 1974 BMW 3.0CS 5-Speed (NMNA)

Oh no! Can't believe Brendan is selling it. That was such a fascinating build!
Brendan doesn't have the car - his partner in the deal has it. its a deal that is so upsetting to hear ... harder to live through for Brendan.

I'm thinking it'll sell for $175k
i only want to see it sell for big money if Brendan actually gets paid a reasonable amount.

Sorry to hear that and hope he recovers some $$$. Unfortunately, that happens too often.

Yep.

Two people can look at the same vehicle and have two different conclusions. Beautiful car. Stunningly. Beautiful.

Workmanship is excellent. Should do reaaaaaaaly well at BAT (or anywhere else).
Hoping for the best outcome for Brendan.

I know that @m5bb has a high bar as his builds show. I have only admiration for Brendan’s metal and fabrication skills. His Gosser car is one of my all time favorite custom e9’s.

With that said I think that the observations on the interior are spot on. The fact is however that no mortal would be able to re-execute this fabrication and and drivetrain for less than $175K. The interior doesn’t really matter and is easy to tidy up.

Totally agree, interior doesn’t match Brendan’s fabrication and the body shop work. Those are high bars to meet. However, the car is still art. TIme and the market will tell the value. Difficult to understand some of the lower number(s) mentioned.

Hi guys I haven't seen the car snice August 2019 , its my understanding that many of the issues you guys mentioned have been addressed . I know its been to the body shop twice snice then , and many other things have been done ? please send some positive thoughts that the auction has a good result .

I was somewhat surprised this didn’t catch at least 2 buyer’s fancy and get bid up. It’s not for everyone, but I’d buy it in second if the boss would tolerate a 7th car. I think it’s a work of art and any fixes would be pennies compared to what is perfect.

As someone who plans to paint my car orange, this car should not have been painted orange. :(
