71, 2800 New expensive paint ( $13k, 300 pics) , new leather ( tan), 3.3 ( with Zeniths). Good dash, alpina wheels 14" , new tires, new brakes, a/c, ( missing compressor) ex Cali car, etc.etc. Former forum member John Hein's car located in north Houston. John's no longer with us and his wife wants someone to buy the car who loved it as much as John and his love for vintage BMWs. This is a serious private sale.

I have pics, but unfortunately am challenged to resize and reload. PM me for contacts and info ( Yes, I did some work, gave advice, etc.). If one of the moderators wants the pics to post..

As the owner of a Sahara Coupe, it gets my vote as long as the rust and condition match the price.

I never thought I would have liked this color till I saw it in the sun.

This Sahara came originally from San Francisco as well.

Must be a "Bay Area" thing!

Folks,

I've committed to buy the car but she will not let me buy it until I have a test drive. :-) That is my kind of seller!

I haven't been able to visit the car because the boys are on spring break.

If for any reason I don't buy the car I'll post here ASAP.

Hi Gang,

The car is still in the shop and won't sell until after it's fixed. Apparently the seats don't latch when they are folded back upright and she doesn't want to sell it w/ that "issue." Apparently the parts are on a slow boat from Hamburg or may not even be on the boat yet. :-(

I'm still planning to buy it.

FWIW I can't wait to get Sahara. I purchased the La Jolla suspension upgrade kit and a chin spoiler from the Langstons. :-)
