Sanden installed - very little room for belt adjustment?

Howdy all - systems' new components install and hose build has gone great - just awaiting an a/c pressure switch for Behr receiver/drier.

One item that's a concern - there is little room for tension adjustment (1/2 inch or less) for a/c belt - once installed - as compressor will hit the front sway bar at full adjustment. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks as always, Tom

You'll have to shop for a shorter belt, it took me 3-4 trips to O'Reilly (and returns) until I found one that required a little leverage to get on the pulley and then it will tighten appropriately without interference.

Kind of what I thought. tyvm

I used the same, and went with a gates 9335 XL. Was very tight, had to leverage it on. Once on, had a tiny bit of slack and tightened up nicely.
