Scam Warning

Just today I was nearly scammed by a buyer on marketplace... Fake PayPal email sent to me about a need to upgrade to business account to unlock the money

Beware of a post on FaceBook offering tools for sale from “Classic Car Parts” they have pics of my tools from our Tool FAQ, $150! Poster is a Pete Woodman.

Saw that but couldn’t find it later. Outside of the price being too good to be true, every listing on his page is a different background. Guy would need to have 30 different floors in his house. :D

Another one.

He had the post I saw closed to comments. I just replied to your comments but my post is Pending. Report him to the Admins.

A lot of these scams are shared posts from a facebook page. You comment on the page and not the share, then the scammer deletes your comments. If possible, always comment on the group page that is sharing the scam, not the scam and age itself.

that's the issue i have seen as well. problem is, the scammers get away with everything @Hans W states - over and over / rinse and repeat. they just create a new login / new acct. with all the fake stuff.

that tool guy is a total scammer , but yes beware there is an insane amount of scammers on all these different bmw facebook groups and they're actually posting desirable parts too , only do PayPal business if your buying from a new to you seller

thanks for the warning.
Another reason why i don't do facebook & such.

We can also just contact him with a serious question that involves him spending some time to answer them all. That will quickly have him loose his interest. His return-on-investment will go into the bad-idea category I hope.

Its funny how scammers go ballistic. I inquired about a Porsche that was too good to be true and asked a few questions. They lady went crazy with the profanity and what she told me to do. All this from a very simple question I asked. The message was very disturbing, to think people are out there like this.

He has returned in the “BMW e9 Csl“ group with a pic of someone else’s tools. I reported as Spam but there is no way to explain to the group Admin, others should report him as well. I just created a new post in that Group to the Admins.
