Aren't the 052 more like race track tyres?

Can't wait to get them on my e9 as well.

nope - these are vintage design, the construction is new. Pirelli isn't clear on whether the sidewalls / tread compound is per the original design or newer

It has been a while since I looked into these, but my recollection is that these are updated compounds at minimum.

Thanks! Yes, sticky indeed. More of a track tire certainly, but it fits the general motorsport/performance inspired direction of my e9.

205 55 and 225 50 16 pilot sport 4s. My go to tyre, they may not have a vintage look but a fantastic summer tyre that gives bundles of grip.

I have those on my Subaru BRZ. Love them. Tons of grip, great steering feel. I might go that route, figuring I'll never be caught in the rain at 40f. On the BRZ, that is hairy and why it is parked till May.
