I have come across this product last week that my painter raves about, so had him put on the underside of the wings after cleaning off all the old tar type Tetrolseal.
It is a 3m Product that is a 2K and is a stone chip that is a seam sealer and stone chip protective coating in one.
It’s not cheap!
But I have had a look at the finished job and found it to be the best product I have ever used so far.
It looks very factory, and when I have had a good old play with it, found it to be very dense and semi rubbery…. And it sticks like the proverbial.
But the steel has to be clean clear of rust, but if you are doing a reso and are looking for something that is extremely good this product is worth looking into…

It does need a specific applicator.

Marc, that looks great. It's funny but it looks from the picture of the bag that it says "CL Coating Kit", maybe made just for your car! :-)
