I am trying to find the current owner of this car originally sold to a Timothy Wolohan in Cincinnati in July 7th 1975. Within the package of documents that came with my 1978 E24 out of his collection is the E9's original service log showing 4 entries upto Feb 6th 1985. I would love to see this document find it's way back to the original car. Given how well my E24 was maintained I would suspect chassis number 3180626 is still being loved.

That's an e3 sedan. Not an e9 coupe.
Ok that's why the 3.0S in the booklet looked strange. I ran the serial number through Real Oem but never paid enough attention to the details. Bad on me! I wonder if there is a E3 group that might have enough interest that someone might want it. Thank's for the correcting my error.

There are two E3 forums here...

...with quite a few E3 enthusiasts.

There is also a Facebook group...

I think it may be tough to find the current owner of the car, but certainly worth a try. More E3s were likely made for the US market than e9s. but the survival percentage is probably far lower than E9s.

Here's the US production numbers for this car...

3.0 S Automatic09/1973 –07/1974 318 0001 – 318 0947
