Havnt posted in awhile. But i tried searching the forum and google for a definitive answer. I have a tan interior car and recently bought black seats for the front. I was wondering how hard it would be to dye the rear seats and carpet to black. And what forum members usually use to do it. Thank you in advance.

Not sure about the carpets. The E24 guys swear by Leatherique for leather re-dye.

dying the leather to black isn't terribly difficult. takes a little while. go to www.leatherique.com there is a standard BMW black - it has a slight sheen to it (which is correct). there are several DIY instructions. you can wipe the dye on, you can brush it (hard to do well) or spray it. http://www.leatherique.com/do_it_your_self_instruction/how_to_re-dye_leather.html

take a look and see if you're up for it. i highly recommend their products, and if the leather is stiff - try the rejuvinator.

redye carpet. my experience is that the results vary and usually don't last well.
