Unfortunately life brings changes and I'm now looking to sell my E9.

$40k obo ... you have to take all the parts with it ... I have a lot.

I've put over 60k into this car but it was for the fun of it. I never thought I would make a dime, just enjoyed the process of restoring a car back to a better state. I did it my way and know its not for everyone. Hence the price. Someone else can enjoy me scaling down my lifes possessions.

Some random thoughts:
I restored it to be a runner ... not a show car. It drives great.
Was taken down to metal and painted back to its original color ... no rust
I give the paint job a 7 out of 10 ... the hood and trunk need a redo IMO. A bit spotty. The clear coat is fine and shiny.
I got rid of all the US bumpers and sealed all the holes. This is not for everyone. :)
It has a great M90 engine
Coupeking headers and exhuast, staggered wheels, new tires
Coupeking restored the interior panels, dash etc
The seats are shit ... I just dyed them.
Clock doesnt work right (HA!)
A/C parts all there but doesnt work ... needs recharge etc
Radio has no speakers ... I just wanted to fill the hole with something

I just have to add, that is a lot of motor, zinc plating, paint, and bodywork for a "driver". With the basket case cars going for $20k+ this seems like the car to get.
 
There's a lot to like here... next owner can make it their own by building on a great base.

Interesting and very nice car. I agree, someone is going to get 'lucky' with your decision to sell.

The VIN # is 10 before my '74's number. Produced in April or May of 1974 according to my data.

Good luck with the sale and know the new owner will appreciate everything you put into the car.

I have seen and driven Erik's car. It is as described and represents an opportunity for someone looking to put the finishing touches on the list of restoration items already completed. Very long legs and a pleasure to drive. If you're in the market, it should be on your list.
