No price listed but I suspect that the number is "too much" based on how the short ad is written.

This car seems like a great driver/restoration candidate. I don't know nearly enough about the 2000 CS to point out the error and omissions however. It does appear that the cowl was the only section under the hood that was resprayed (poorly). The Alpina references seem like nonsense. Other than the center caps I don't see anything to indicate any alpina work.

Can't place the st

If anyone is interested in steering wheel trivia,
this looks like a very period correct Personal steering wheel. I'm thinking like 1968, but I can't find another like it. It is a personal/nardi horn button. The bolt alignment is the same as momo but it looks as if it is spaced a bit larger which is the case for personal/nardi. Some early Personal wheels had the bolts in a 12pm 6pm configuration like Momo, but most start at 3PM 9PM. Personal wheels also tend to be wider where the spokes meet the wheels. This wheels is similar to a Momo daytona in that the wood wraps around the spoke ends. Unlike a Daytona, the bottom spoke isn't wrapped. M

"looking to sell for the right price. Taking offers and no reasonable offers rejected" = a BIG waste of time in most cases... or please bid against yourself and I'll tell you when you win.

Highly unlikely this is one of the never seen Alpina 2000CS's and those seats are from an E9... all that said, it might be a nice car for the right price?

I couldn't have come up with that on my own but my thoughts exactly! I thought those looked like e9 seats.

Ahhh.. love these kinda ads. I just emailed and said whats the right price?

This is the response I got.

"$20,000 OBO 2 solid offers on the table. Worth taking a look if you are in San Francisco. I have 2 appointments today"

So why not put the price at 20k?

It's an auction....
Here's what Craigslist says about that..

"sorry, price is required; cl is NOT an auction site: https://www.craigslist.org/about/help/faq#auction "Can I put a link in my for sale posting pointing to an auction site like eBay? No. Please post a set price, do not solicit bidding, and do not link to auctions elsewhere.

Your standards are too high Don! I expect the absolute worst from CL, especially when selling stuff (which I rarely do now). Try selling a sub $1,000 car. No I do not want to hold the car until your next payday. I don't want an amplifier, a subwoofer, or a bag of weed. I want cash!
