I am delighted to be able to finally say
I drive a 3.0CSi E9 coupe !!!
I have owned her for 12 years now .
I bought her as a non running restoration project and have been restoring her for about 5 or 6 years now.
I have been truly lucky to have had great support from all of you guys, with advice , parts and more advice
The last year of working on her was very difficult mentally to get through as I couldn’t see the finishing line coming along any time soon, but with support from my family and friends ( you guys)
She is “finished “ ( I still have a few bits and pieces to do , are they ever really finished)
So she was last on the road in 1989 and as of about 10 days ago , she’s back and she is gorgeous .
I have taken it on 2 classic car run weekends and have done about 400 miles in it so far and have plans for many many more.
One of the most amazing feelings is now I can open the garage, walk in and just look at the car and come back out of the garage NOT covered in oil , grease , sparks , cuts , dust , sparks or glue .
