shift knob on german ebay

Yeah, I just bought one a few days ago at the "BIN" price of 35 Euros. Including shipping, the total is about $57, not bad at all for a nice reproduction of the original.

Many of the various wooden shift knob repros just don't look right, in particular, the shallow domed head, but judging from the picture, it looks exactly like the original. I contacted the seller about the the inclusion of the center plastic threaded insert, and he stated it is patterned and made like the oe knob. Once the knob arrives, I'll report on the actual quality.

The seller's name is Stefan Ries and he's nice gentleman to do business with. He has access to many NOS classic BMW parts, including the E9. I bought a NOS CSi fuel tank sender unit and a few other interior trim parts from him through Ebay about 5 years ago. He also runs www.bmw-oldtimerteile.de/, although the site is kind of awkward to use. Have not purchase from this online site yet.
