As shown, the upholstery on my shifter console is trashed. Question - can a good upholstery shop replace the material? Or, am I better off sourcing a new shifter console?

there are no new shifter consoles, so you'd better go to a upholstery shop ;-)

I had mine covered in leather and it looks great.
Someone sells new shifter boots as well.

Bucket Stitch in Greenville, SC (864) 294-9021 is yet another option. I had them recover my kick panels. Happy with the results.Duane sources the materials from GAHH

NLA part. Any upholstery shop can handle this small job in about an hour. You might consider replacing the insulation and shifter bearing while the console is out. Jim at Mesa Performance can get you an E36 shifter as a poor mans short shift option. That's what I did.

Shifter console was available last year, I got a new one from La Jolla and a new leather boot, looks great, fits perfectly.
