Does anyone have recommendations for shipping a transmission. Transmission is an automatic and weights about 140lbs.

Attached bellhousing or removable? Pictures make it look removable… if so, should be able to fit it into two of these containers - transmission in one and bellhousing in the other

I shipped one in one of the Costco yellow/black tubs but the plastic is too thin, it cracked. This tub has much thicker plastic. They make a 50 gallon one which maybe could hold the whole thing in one. Use Pirateship to purchase your label, just enter size, weight and address. Will be about 50% off the price you’d get at the ups store

JC that is really good advice and a can or 2 of that expanding foam is cheap and doesn't require a lot of labor to crate ... as long as its wrapped in that plastic bag so it doesn't require carving it off the part.

I would suggest all transmission fluid be drained before shipping. Nothing interrupts travel of your heavy item more than when a puddle is found underneath at some point. It may not leak now, but if this develops in transit, it changes everything.
