Well the left front chrome wheel arch for my '72 Bavaria arrived today, shipped on 9/3 from Germany. Of course my seller sent it as a gift with less than a $100.00 value. He mailed it on 8/27!!
He used a flat screen tv box 30" x 19" x 5". Weight, 3 1/2 pounds. Cost: $58.00 included tracking and insurance.
I suspect it got here so fast because no one is shipping via the "gift" and less than $100.00 value. And the light weight.
It was probably one of a dozen packages on the otherwise empty plane to arrive in JFK.
