Shipping large item from US to UK

I'm purchasing a couple of Sun diagnostic items, namely a 1115 analyzer and VAT40 battery/charging system tester. Having these shipped to the UK is turning out to be rather expensive. If anyone is shipping a container or similar to the UK in the near future (eg. shipping a couple of cars) it may be possible to combine the two loads in one container to help reduce costs. Alternatively any advice on shipping items like this would be greatly appreciated. Items are located in North Carolina.
