What's the story with the skateboard decks?

All the cool kids have BMW skateboards. Here’s mine:

Here’s the garage before I put the lift and mezzanine in. I built 4500 square feet and wish I would have gone to 6000. Just like work expands to fill the available time, so do cars expand to fill the space available. I always seem to need more time and space.

as we are downsizing house ( bought a small one , sold our current "big" one ) , i'm building a new garage in the back garden , also smaller according local build rules, but okay , my lift can be placed . Galvanised steel structure, sandwich panels ( metal + 80 mm iso ) and the 2 sides visible from the house/garden finished with oak planks.

We must move medio november....

My old garage now has a cute little temporary kitchen. I plumbed hot/cold/drain for the sink/dishwasher, and wired up the disposal. Still need to run a gas line to the stove.

That's Awesome Marcos!! When I gutted the kitchen in our house in Magnolia years ago, we set up a temporary kitchen in our family room. Nothing like yours, just a wok, a microwave, and a mini refrigerator - we had to use the sink in the bathroom. It was my first kitchen remodel, I thought it would take me three weeks but it took 4 months. :)

when we remodeled our first house in Pleasant Hill CA (a lifetime ago) we did the temporary thing too. A lot less elegant than @Markos, and I remember doing dishes in one of the bathtubs for longer than I would have preferred.

About all the space I have... (The Netherlands is a small country)
7,5*3,8 meter, about 22*13 foot. But it does have a attic for the storage of most parts.
No bikes, plants or barbeques allowed inside; they must live in a separate shed.

one side; I installed a rolling door to free up headspace for the car lift that raises it 1M / 3 feet max:

other side of the garage:

And also a stainless steel sink, doubling as storage space and counter top, as seen from the attic

Necessary space utilisation:

Built a garden shed for all the stuff you don't want around cars. Bumped out the back of my two car garage and filled it up. In the summer it can get hot and humid and it bothered me to feel the cool cement floor. I just lined the whole floor with sheets of chipboard over plastic. Don't know if it makes a difference but always feels warmer and dry. Also, certainly feels better crawling around during the cold months.

My plan for this has always been to build a rolling over-the-hood table out of pipe. Caster feet and foam insulation on the legs. The table surface clears the hood. When you need to access the hood or move the car you roll it out of the garage.

Of course now black pipe and the fittings are stupid expensive. :(

it is very nice to have all that land and build what ever you like or accommodate your need but where I live there is no such a thing we have to pull permit for every little thing for building a garage will take a year for plan and permit and you go through hell
