Snake oil or the real stuff?

The only product I know of that has what “old” gas had to provide higher octane is Octane Supreme. It has tetraethyl lead. I successfully used it on a high compression high advance 70s V12 with great success. I was able to maintain the factory advance rating which wasn’t possible w/o 98-100 octane.

it’s a cheesy looking website and label... but the real McCoy. Google it; best deal was on EBay. More economical and easier to find than high octane pump gas, at least for me.
Hope that helps.

Just don't use the tetraethyl lead product if your car has catalytic converters, and your state does exhaust testing. It kills the cats and your car will fail the test (as well as pollute more).

Good point Gary, I missed the original question pertained to a more modern car.
